Today composed of three singers from Spain, France and Italy, a Franco-Moroccan percussionist and a Basque percussionist with multiple influences, CHET NUNETA presented on stage its new repertoire from its third and last album Agora (self-produced, 2016 – Inouïe Distribution).

CHET NUNETA is fully in line with the new traditional music of the world through its singular expression, here and now in this agora of polyphonic rhythms and songs.
Faithful to a spirit rather than a form, CHET NUNETA invites the spectator into a musical universe at the borders of theatrical and dance expressions, because the group has always had a physical approach to singing and rhythm. Beyond the voice, it is the bodies that resonate, inviting the audience to a real musical show.

Agora is a co-production Chet Nuneta / Le Chantier (Centre de création des nouvelles musiques traditionnelles et musique du monde) / Association Le Grain à Moudre with the support of ARDC La Maline and Art’ Cade (Scène Ariègeoise de musiques actuelles).

  • Three women in Mediterranean blue dresses, and two men, no longer to sing the "traditions of others", as was the case at the beginning, but to invent a syncretic folklore in dreamlike and humanistic colours: this is the vocation of Chet Nuneta, a polyphonic and polyglot combo who came to present an inventive repertoire of migratory songs (the album Agora).Télérama
  • (...) the group stops there, with the voice and rhythm, elementary, vital, as if to bring us back to common sense, with our feet on the ground and our faces in the wind, in a mythical agora, more necessary than ever.Les Inrocks
  • Far from mimicry (...) the beautiful "anthropophagi" integrate the culture of the other to better honour it, digest it to better build themselves, amazed themselves by this adventure which, although it is elaborate, remains full of surprises (...).Mondomix
